11:45 is a little robot cartoon in the Tartan.
History
The first incarnation of 11:45, seen here, was drawn by Ed in the CMU Math/Physics Lounge. Someone had asked him the time and he correctly guessed 11:45. Excited, he wrote it on the whiteboard. Later he started doodling and the doodle became a robot.
jcreed saw this drawing and put it on his blog. In time, jcreed rose to the position of Comics Editor of the Tartan, and Ed offered to draw an 11:45 comic for him. Thus it came to pass that, for two and a half years, Ed drew 11:45.
Upon his graduation, Ed passed the comic on to lea, who had created a substantial amount of 11:45 fan art, including a plush toy with red, light-up eyes. She has been drawing the comic ever since, whenever her busy life as an architecture student permits.
