Walking To The Sky is an abominable, phallus-shaped, metalloid sculpture, which was placed on The Cut in front of Warner Hall in 2006. It is the creation of Jonathan Borofsky, a noted CMU alumnus and fellow hater-of-grass.
It depicts several men, women and children walking up its shimmering, erect shaft several dozen feet into the air...then inexplicably stops in mid-air with no explanation of where the other people went.
A recent tradition at the end of the Underground tour is to have all attendees lie dead underneath its tip.
