Its purpose is to find or build lea a girlfriend. Such a committee required a nondescript name, unlike all of the other committees that find or build certain people significant others.
OMNOMNOMDOMZOMGCOM studies advances in both the construction of robotic humanoids with overtly feminine features, as well as human gender reassignment surgery. Don't ask why regarding the latter.
