Gates 3000

The main computer cluster in Gates Hall, near the entrance closest to Newell-Simon Hall. The cluster was maintained by Gregory Kesden, and he let people do some cool things that other clusters don't allow. For example, people can have food and drink (but don't be stupid about it, and clean up after yourself) and sit on bean bag chairs (NO SHOES!). The room currently contains couches, bean bag chairs, large monitors for watching of video media, and high chairs.

This cluster has served as a makeshift CS Lounge. Previously, Wean 5207 served that purpose, and before that, Newell-Simon Atrium was the hangout for the cool kids.
