Pfennig of Pfault

The holder of the Nickel of Fault (deprecated) or Pfennig of Pfault is given the dubious honor of being the fperson to blame for everything that goes wrong while that fperson has fpossession of said coin.

In the 89-91 fperiod, it was the "Nickel of Fault". At some fpoint since then, it has been renamed the "Pfennig of Pfault".

The Pfennig is not, in fact, a pfennig. (Capitalization matters, people!) Currently, it is an item that used to be a Zimbabwean bill representing a large number of Zimbabwe dollars, but due to restorative measures is now over 90% duct tape. Intermittent discussion has occurred regarding whether the venerable Pfennig ought to be replaced by a new token. Suggested alternatives have included a garlic-flavored condom that may or may not have been sold by KGB at the 2011 Useless Stuff Auction.

Currently, the pfennig is a 100 Czech crown note with some coin superglued to it.

The fperson invested with the coin may be granted an Exception. (As in, "everything is your fault except...")

More recently it has become known as simply "The Thing". I think Jared has it this week.
